Aldrich Farm

We have several breeds of horses here at the Aldrich Farm. Everyone is special in their very own way. We bred only a few of our mares for foals that would become multi-purpose riding horses of gentle disposition. The rest of our mares take part as as trusty trail mounts for many an adventure and camping trips. They also take part in what ever fun equestrian events or play days we choose to attend. On this page I will introduce you to the wonderful horses NOT FOR SALE at the Aldrich Farm.          

First on our list of horses is our Super Smart bay BLM Mustang mare Salsa. The gal that started it all with delivering the first foal on our farm, a fabulous filly named Tiffany's Fantasy. Although Salsa is a little 14'1 hand mare she has a big heart and makes big babies. Salsa has delivered a number of foals and became a grandmother as well. Salsa is now retired from broodmare life at age 28 she has paid her dues, plus some.

Fantasy is a 14 yr old mare and one of my riding partners. I play favorites with her she was my first foal, we have a great bond. She is still undergoing, every now and again training and trailriding.

Registered Morgan mare 27 yrs old, Mystie the Morgan is a dependable mount I ride very often. She has been there, done that and is strong as an ox with lots of get up and go. Mystie shows no sign of age  (other then a few grey hairs) she loves to work and hit the trails as well. I can never say enough about this mare she is just one great horse.

Mini' Cooper the gelding Miniature Horse is the farm mascot. He is priceless when it comes to entertaining our foals and the folks here on the farm. Cooper loves walks and hikes and has his very own back pack for just such adventures. In his winter coat, as pictured above here, he is a sight to see as fuzzy as a favorite Teddy Bear.

Whitney's Cleopatra

Cleo' is a 6 yr old mare, she has a heart of gold and loves people. At 16 hands she is a tall girl that is just starting a career as a riding horse for my daughter. Cleo had hock surgery due to an accident which occured while playing in the pasture over the past winter of 2008. She will require a year long no-work recovery. With the vets OK she was given' the all clear to carry a foal in her off time. Whitney has chosen to breed Cleo for a Pinto foal for 2009.

UPDATE: Cleo is looking pregnant and close to her foal date May 21st 2009

Cleo had a wonderful Pinto colt, named Scout.
